In this work in progress, I am particularly fascinated by how digital environments, like social media platforms and AI, shape self-expression. These virtual spaces allow us to continually manipulate and reconstruct our self-images, blurring the lines between the physical and virtual, the human and the non-human. In this way, my portraiture practice is not just about representing a static identity but about exploring the fluid, ongoing process of self-making through an assemblage of human and non-human forces.
This collaborative relationship challenges traditional ideas of authorship and control, turning the process of creation into a dynamic, shifting assemblage of elements—be it the self, AI, or even inanimate objects like the mobile phone I use as my primary tool. Through my work, I aim to investigate how these interconnected systems co-create, disrupt, and reassemble our understanding of identity and self-representation
